Covering Central Scotland, the Lothians, Fife and surrounding areas, Edward - a fully qualified joiner with extensive knowledge of the building trade - formed the business in 1995 after working post-qualification for many years as an employee of large building companies and laterally with double glazing companies. Working hard to deliver a service that ticks all the boxes, he quickly established an enviable reputation for quality, one that still sticks today.
Following in their father's footsteps, sons Michael and Chris also joined the business as apprentice joiners, and now, fully qualified, work to assist Edward in helping the family name live on. They have brought not only their skills, but a fresh outlook to the business, allowing Edward Macaulay Joiners to truly develop into a family-run venture.
We truly believe in providing a great service, with excellent quality – our repeat business and recommendations speak for themselves. We have extensive experience in both domestic and commercial projects, having worked on some very large buildings, but equally treat your own home with the loving care it deserves.
"What a transformation throughout in my kitchen/dining room and my windows and doors. Having had my conservatory roof tiled previously Ed, Mike & Chris were my first go to when looking at installing a downstairs loo and incorporating the kitchen and dining room into a modern, clean usable space. I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The workmanship is second to none and having these guys working in my home was an absolute pleasure. Every night the place was left neat and tidy ready for the next day.
